The Great Awakening taking place – Rodney Howard Browne

Worship Soundtracks from RMIRiverSong on Vimeo.

What can I say about the Great Awakening taking place here at The River in Tampa Bay with Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne. Wow! I am a first year student here at The River School of Worship and I come out of a long line of ministers. I thought that I had it all together and on the outside I did. But inward, in my heart, there was no fire, no real passion for the things of God. I visited the River in July of 2010, and at that moment I felt at home. I felt a spark begin and I begged God to help do whatever it took to bring myself, my husband and my children here. He brought us here at the best time! Never in history has something like the Great Awakening taking place here happened. Never in history have I seen the fires of revival burning to true and real in so many hearts. The spark in myself that started in July, 2010 has been growing and burning turning into an inferno. The first time I took the Gospel Soul Winning Script onto the streets of Tampa, Florida my whole world and personality changed. Even small things like I don’t watch some TV shows I use to. My attitude changed. I never felt such a passion and drive for the lost, I never had the urgency to tell every person I come into contact with about Jesus Christ. An example is I seen a man on a street corner begging for money while my mother was visiting, the light turned red and down my window went. I couldn’t do much for I’m with money but I could give him something better. He gave his heart to Jesus right then! My mother said, I knew you were going to do that! She said she was proud to see such changes in me! I cannot wait to see what happens this week!-Jennifer W.

Prayer List by Rodney Howard Browne

Worship Soundtracks from RMIRiverSong on Vimeo.

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.  23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.  24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. 25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.  26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
Mark 11:22-26 NKJV

“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.  20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18:19-20 NKJV

And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. 15 And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.

Rodney Howard Browne – Donna C. Testimony

Worship Soundtracks from RMIRiverSong on Vimeo.

After camp meeting my grand children came to stay for a week …they got baptized with the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues …what a blessing as our 9 year old Kylee raised hands and spoke in tongues as Josh ministered and sang in tongues.

I was talking with a young lady and shared the script with her. She said a calm came over her. I then asked her about the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and if she wanted to receive Him. I prayed for her to receive the Holy Ghost and right away she spoke in other tongues.

On the Cocoa GAT I had a soul goal of 101 at lunch time I had 47 people saved from several nursing homes. Our team was leaving at 2:00pm. We got done with the nursing homes early so we went to get lunch at a Ruby Tuesdays. It was the week after my birthday so my friend got up , pulled me in the middle of the restaurant and made everyone sing for me. When they were done singing I thanked them and then I said a prayer of blessing for everyone and went right into the script. I told everyone to close their eyes and repeat the prayer with me. With the lifting of hands afterwards I counted 54  people that prayed with me. I reached my soul goal of exactly 101 that day.

I went 2 a house lead a lady to the lord then 9 more people walked in and they spoke Spanish only so she translated the script to 9 and they all got saved she became a instant soul winner then in a nursing home and sheared the script with a older lady and she started balling her eyes out and after wards she kipped saying how much it mint to her and how grateful she was everything about her changed .

I was soul winning to kid whom said he didn’t believe .So, I went on with the script and he received Jesus !!! Then he shared with me that the night before he was thinking that if God was real He would show himself to him. At the end of the prayer he thanked and hugged me!!  I also prayed with a 90 year old man who received the Lord for the first time!!

A young man came up to me and asked me for change.  I told him  that I had something better and asked him if he knew God loved him.  He said, “Yes. The Lord forgives sins,” and I agreed and continued with the script.  The man had tears in his eyes after I put my hand on his shoulder and told him that a lot of people are going through hard times and that it’s good to cry out to the Lord.  I told him his sins are now forgiven in Jesus’ Name.  Later some girls from our team saw him crying with another woman that I spoke to earlier.

Celebrity’s Optimistic Attitude, First Part by Rodney Howard Browne

Little Works by Rodney Howard Browne

There aren’t a lot of things better than exercise to keep every one of us feeling, thinking, and looking more youthful than we are. For just about ten years, my other half and I lived in a home in Dallas, Texas, found about a quarter of a mile from the respected Cooper Aerobics Center that was set up by my longtime chum and surgeon, Dr Kenneth Cooper. Not only did I enjoy the fantastic facilities—especially the one-mile track that runs thru those stunning grounds, around a lake where ducks and swans make their home—but every time we might drive by, we’d see ladies and men of every age zealously walking and running, lifting weights, and using the gear. Not occasionally, we’d see smiling people who were in their 80s and even their 90s faithfully staying at it. By the point we meet him in this section of the Scriptures, he’d reached the age of 85.

I’m still as powerful today as I was in the day Moses sent me” ( Joshua 14:10-11 ). He was referring to the time when Moses sent the spies into the land of Canaan to test things out before the Hebrews attacked the Guaranteed Land to make claims it as their own. So, about forty five years had elapsed since all that occurred, and Caleb was declaring how healthy he was. The very last thing Caleb needed to do was find a rocking chair and kick back. That is the sort of can-do angle and resolution that keeps us healthy for 85 years.

Don’t Choose the Devil’s Will by Rodney Howard Browne

Little Works by Rodney Howard Browne

I’m going to tell you without hesitation that one of my major goals in life is to become adult as I age.

A worthy etching on a gravestone would be : “Here lies a person who kept growing as he kept aging.” Growing up and growing old need to stroll hand in hand.

Never doubt it : maturing is a slow, difficult process.

Job accomplished it ; he reached that goal.

No wonder we read that he died an old man and full of days. He lived the remainder of his 140 years full of fervour and zeal. We are able to view it as an intrusion, a concern, or we are able to see it as a chance to reply in particular obedience to God’s will—that craggy virtue James calls “endurance.”. It’s a choice in the middle of our suffering to do what God has asked us to do, whatever it is, and for so long as He asks us to do it.

As Oswald Chambers wrote, “To choose suffering makes little sense at all ; to select God’s will in the middle of our suffering makes all of the sense in the world.”. Where are you today? Where is your journey leading you? More importantly, which option have you chosen? Are you viewing your trial as a concern or an opportunity? Try seriously not to forget the lessons Job teaches us about ourselves. And, rather than simply reading about the life of Job, begin living that sort of life. That makes all of the sense in the world, doesn’t it?

Never Been Old by Rodney Howard Browne

Little Works by Rodney Howard Browne

I want to supply many pointers on how to remain young. Spend a little time with folk who talk about events and concepts instead of sitting around a store talking about folk and how sorry this young generation has become. No-one wants to be around a crotchety old person who sees only the clouds and talks only about stormy weather.

I like being around older folk who still see the sunny aspect of life.

And while I am at it, give up addressing each ache and discomfort. Give up talking about how feeble you are getting and how others will need to do this or that for you. There are folk all around you who could use an inspiring word, an affirming note, a telephone call that asserts, “I love you and believe in you, and I’m praying for you.” So go there. The 5th is clear : Your God isn’t dead, keep serving and looking for Him. The Lord Jesus Christ is never-ending and ever important. Continue to enjoy a little time alone with your Lord. You have lived long enough to know that there’s no another true than the Lord Himself. Continue cultivating a significant relationship with Him.

I only wish for you a full life, like Job’s, marked not by living happily for ever ( an impossibility ), but by being really satisfied, satisfied, challenged, helpful, godly, balanced, and joyous.

Meek Obedience by Rodney Howard Browne

Little Works by Rodney Howard Browne

Maybe Job lay under the stars till he was wet from the dew. And when he did, what an outstanding reply.

Verse twenty comprises nine words in the Hebrew text. These words describe what Job did before the text goes on to inform us what Job recounted. When you read your Bible, always pay attention to the verbs, because they move you thru the action of a story, helping you vicariously to go into the event. He “arose.” the subsequent verb tells us something peculiar.

He “tore his robe.” The word translated “robe” is a term describing a garment that fits over the body loosely, like an outer gown that reaches below the knees. This isn’t the undertunic ; it is the outer robe that kept him warm at night. Job reached to his neck and, not finding a seam, he grabbed a worn part of the fabric and ripped it. In the ripping of the robe he’s announcing his hideous grief. It’s used numerous times in the Old Testament to portray total grief. He “shaved his head.” The hair is always pictured in the Scriptures as the glory of a person an expression of his worth.

The shaving of the head , is symbological of the loss of private glory. And to hold his grief to its lowest depth, his 4th action is to fall to the ground. It’s this that portrays the heroism of Job’s endurance.

The Hebrew verb means “to fall prostrate in total submission and worship.” I dare say many of us haven’t worshiped like that.

I mean with your face on the ground, lying down, full-length. Before moving on, I want to proffer you try this sometime.

Loyalty Tested by Rodney Howard Browne

Little Works by Rodney Howard Browne

If you return to Job thirteen, you can read what Job originally owned. He had seven thousand sheep, and he winds up with 14,000. So his flocks grow as he feeds them and breeds them.

Their numbers increase to 2 times the original flock. And there’s also lots of land to graze, so that the sheep grow in number to fourteen thousand.

He could have been in a position to see from each window of his home delicious, green, and colourful plants and the expansion of all his crops. So that the man has 2x as much as he had before. He was rich before ; now he’s very loaded.

There are occasions when the Lord selects to praise certain people with way more than is sufficient. If envy is your besetting sin, I encourage you to wreck yourself from one of the most gruesome habits among Christian folk. I will be utterly fair with you, I hear it often. The great enticement is to remind the Lord of how trustworthy you’ve been when you see a neighbour or a friend whose business grows when yours does not.

Please stop attempting to outguess the Lord in such matters. It is both prejudiced and fallacious to presume that most rich people have not earned their wealth or did not receive them from the hand of Almighty God. Some of Almighty God’s dearest saints are eminently well off. If you’re one of them, you barely need the reminder that you did not create it yourself. And if He selects not to praise you as He has sanctified another, respect and appreciate His choice instead of resent it.
