We do not know the character of Paul’s affliction, but it was not a pleasing one. Maybe it was physical. Maybe it was emotional. But we do know it was agonizing.
3 times Paul went before the Lord, begging Him to take away this burden. And 3 times, Paul was denied. Are there burdens and anomalies in your life? Do you question why you may experience them? Be assured that if God authorized a trial in your life, you’ll be in a position to bear it. ( one Corinthians 10:13 ) When we ask God to take these burdens and trials away, we must research our requests. Are they as we simply don’t want them around? Are we able to not go on anymore? Are our burdens simply uncomfortable?. That irrespective of how heavy the load appears, God is there with you. He’ll use the responsibility or trial to transform you, to switch you, to use you. The answer Paul received why his burden would not vanish was this : “‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Most gladly,, I will rather boast about my faults, so the power of Christ may dwell in me” ( two Cor.
12:9 ). In his weakness, Paul was made robust, stronger than he would’ve been had he not suffered. In your weakness, you will also be made powerful thru Him.
